MERCEDES-BENZ MODELS WE SERVICE

From a high-mileage E350 to a late-model GLE or a Sprinter work van, these are the Mercedes-Benz models we work on every week. Don't see yours? Call and ask.

Why Your Mercedes-Benz Needs a Specialist

A Mercedes-Benz is full of computers that talk to each other, and many repairs need Mercedes-Benz software and service steps to get right. A basic code reader can show a fault. It can't test every module or set up new parts the way the factory software can.

WHAT WE DO

Mercedes-Benz Service in Salt Lake City

We handle every system on your Mercedes-Benz, from a routine oil service to timing chain and transmission work. Every job is done by a technician who knows Mercedes-Benz sedans, SUVs and Sprinter vans, and you get a written quote before we start.

Mercedes-Benz repair and service for Salt Lake City, Murray, Holladay, Midvale, West Jordan and the rest of the valley. Honest diagnostics, fair pricing, and repairs backed by our shop warranty. Driving a different make? See our European auto repair page.

Common Mercedes-Benz Problems We Fix

Here are the Mercedes-Benz problems we see most often, what you'll notice first, and what we do about each one.

Mercedes-Benz V8 engine with the cover off, showing the turbochargers and oil lines, in our Murray, UT shop

Engine Oil Leaks

Oil leaks on diesel models. An oil level warning, a dropping dipstick, and oil spots where you park. It's common on 2007 to 2016 BlueTEC diesels and V6 diesel Sprinter vans. The leaking seals sit deep in the middle of the engine, and the leak speeds up once it starts. We replace them with the updated Mercedes-Benz parts.

Oil on the front of the engine. Oil on the front of the engine, misfires and a check engine light, common on 2008 to 2014 C-Class, E-Class, ML and GLK models with the V6. Oil can creep up the wiring and damage other parts. We replace the leaking parts and add Mercedes-Benz adapters that stop the oil from spreading.

Engine Timing and Cooling

Rattle and check engine light. A rattle at startup, a rough idle, lost power and a check engine light on 2005 to 2008 C-Class, E-Class, ML and CLK models with the V6 or V8. A gear inside the engine wears out and lets the timing chain go slack. We confirm it with engine diagnostics before quoting the repair.

Weak heat and a low temperature gauge. The temperature gauge reads low, the heat is lukewarm in winter, and the engine takes a long time to warm up. It's common on 2012 to 2016 E350 and other models with the 3.5-liter V6. We check for a Mercedes-Benz software update first, then repair the cooling system with the updated parts.

Mercedes-Benz GLE raised on a lift for air suspension and transmission service in our Murray, UT shop

Air Suspension and Shifting

Car sitting low on one corner. One corner sags after the car is parked, a "Vehicle Too Low" warning, or the air pump runs all the time. It's common on S-Class, E-Class, ML and GL models with air suspension. A leaking air bag makes the pump work too hard until it burns out. We find the leak and fix both parts.

Stuck in second gear. The car won't shift past second gear or go over about 40 mph, and the check engine light comes on. It's most common on 2004 to 2008 models with the seven-speed automatic. A circuit board inside the transmission fails, and we repair the transmission without removing it from the car.
