European & Japanese Auto Repair Near Holladay and Millcreek
Holladay to our shop is a straight run west on 4800 South, about ten to twelve minutes, and you never need the freeway. Millcreek is the same idea one street north. Sugar House comes down 1300 East and takes about thirteen.
We are at 4339 S Commerce Dr in Murray, on the industrial stretch between State Street and I-15. This is the closest side of the valley to us that is not Murray itself, which is why so many of the cars we see from Holladay and Cottonwood Heights are the ones people do not want to hand to a chain: the German sedans, the older Volvos, the wagons that go up Big Cottonwood every weekend.
Common Repairs We Handle for Holladay and Millcreek Drivers
Most vehicle problems show warning signs before they fail outright. If you notice any of the symptoms below, schedule a diagnostic inspection for your car repair and maintenance service in Murray before a small issue becomes a major repair.

A check engine light means a fault in your engine management

Grinding or knocking usually means brake repair or a worn part

Pulling to one side means the wheel alignment is off

Fluid spots under the vehicle can mean a coolant leak and cooling system repair

Burning or sweet smells signal a fluid leak or an electrical issue

Vibration or shaking points at tires, brakes, or suspension repair

Reduced power or stalling points to sensors or fuel pump replacement

An overdue oil change turns small issues into bigger repairs
WHAT WE DO
Auto Repair Services for Holladay and Millcreek Drivers
Our car repair and maintenance service covers every system on your European or Japanese vehicle, from brake repair to engine diagnostics to auto electrical repair. Every repair is performed by a technician who works on imports daily, not occasionally.
Auto Repair Services You Can Trust in Holladay
Serving Holladay, Millcreek, Sugar House and the east bench from our Murray shop. Honest diagnostics, fair pricing, and every repair backed by an industry-standard warranty.
Specialty Auto Repair Services for European and Japanese Vehicles
More German cars come to us off the east bench than from any other direction, and Holladay is the middle of it. Ten minutes west puts you here instead of at a dealership on State Street, and it is not that we are cheaper on parts. We buy the same factory diagnostic equipment, use the same special tools, and order from the same suppliers that built the originals. What we do not carry is a dealership's overhead, and you talk to the person who actually worked on your car instead of a service writer.

Holladay European Imports
BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Volvo make up a large share of what rolls through the shop, and Holladay, Millcreek and Cottonwood Heights account for a good share of that. These cars are not harder to fix, they are just less forgiving of guesswork. The eight-speed automatic that turns up across several of these brands (a ZF 8HP) needs an exact fluid specification and a specific fill procedure, not a generic transmission fluid. The faster-shifting gearboxes that run on two clutches instead of one (a dual-clutch, badged DSG at Volkswagen and PDK at Porsche) need a scan tool that can talk to the clutch control module. European service intervals run long on paper, which suits a highway commute and punishes a car whose whole week is 4800 South and back. We source parts from Bosch, ATE, Sachs, and LuK. More on our European auto repair page.

Holladay Japanese Imports
Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda, Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti are the other half of the shop. All-wheel drive is everywhere on this side of the valley for a reason: Big Cottonwood up to Brighton and Solitude requires snow-rated tires on at least two drive wheels from October 1 through April 30, and Millcreek Canyon is a year-round habit for a lot of people. A Subaru that climbs a canyon on Saturday and sits on a Holladay street all week is hard on head gaskets and wheel bearings both. We read these cars with the factory software each brand expects, Techstream, HDS, and CONSULT. The belt-and-pulley automatics with no fixed gears (a CVT, built by Jatco or Aisin) need their own fluid and intervals, and getting that wrong is how they fail early. More on our Japanese auto repair page.
