INFINITI MODELS

INFINITI MODELS WE SERVICE

From a high-mileage G37 to a late-model QX60, these are the Infinitis we work on every week. Don't see yours? Call and ask.

Why Your Infiniti Needs a Specialist

Infinitis are built on Nissan engines and electronics, and many repairs need Nissan's own software and a close look at known weak spots. A basic code reader can show a fault. It can't talk to every computer in the car or reprogram one.

WHAT WE DO

Infiniti Service in Salt Lake City

We handle every system on your Infiniti, from a routine oil service to timing chain and transmission work. Every job is done by a technician who knows Infiniti sedans, coupes and SUVs, and you get a written quote before we start.

Infiniti repair and service for Salt Lake City, Murray, Holladay, Midvale, West Jordan and the rest of the valley. Honest diagnostics, fair pricing, and repairs backed by our shop warranty. Driving a different make? See our Japanese auto repair page.

Common Infiniti Problems We Fix

Here are the Infiniti problems we see most often, what you'll notice first, and what we do about each one.

Oil Pressure and Timing Chains

Low oil pressure warning. A low oil pressure warning and the car cutting power to protect the engine, on the G37 and other 3.7-liter V6 Infinitis built before 2012. A gasket inside the engine leaks and lowers the oil pressure. We confirm the cause and repair the leak.

Oil use and chain rattle. The 3.7-liter V6 can use a quart of oil every 1,000 to 2,000 miles, and running low can wear out the timing chain. On the 2.0 turbo Q50, a metallic rattle on cold starts around 80,000 miles points to chain wear. We check the oil and listen for chain noise at every visit.

Transmission Problems

Shudder when you accelerate. A shudder at low speed, a delay before the car moves, or hesitation when merging, on 2014 to 2020 QX60 models. We check the transmission and its fluid before any big repair.

Late shifts or shudder. A delay shifting into drive or reverse, or a shudder at low speed, on 2014 to 2017 QX70, 2011 to 2013 QX56 and 2014 and newer QX80 models. The first step is fresh fluid and a software check. We service the transmission the way Nissan calls for.

Turbo Engines and Steering

Squeal, warning lights and power loss. A squeal, warning lights or a sudden loss of power on 2016 and newer Q50 and Q60 models with the 3.0 turbo. A drive belt can slip off, or worn fuel injectors cause misfires. We find the cause before replacing parts.

Steering or stalling warnings. Slow steering right after startup or stalling on some Q50 and Q60 models. Infiniti dealers fix these for free, so we'll check whether yours still needs it and look over the rest of the steering and fuel system.
